Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.
I get asked a lot about the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I’m being productive when I’m really just procrastinating. Here’s a big list of all of my favorite stuff.
Workstation
16” MacBook Pro, M1 Max, 32GB RAM (2021)
I was using an Intel-based 15” Dell XPS prior to this and the difference is night and day. I’ve never heard the fans turn on a single time, even under the incredibly heavy loads I put it through with various builds.
Dell 27” Monitor
Well, it works!
Macbook Keyboard
I know, I know but I really do like the feel of the new keys. No offense Jony Ive!
Logitech MX Master 3
Logitech hits it out of the park as alaways! . It is sleek, stylish, and comfortable to use, making it perfect for long hours of work. Plus, it's so smooth and precise, you'll wonder how you ever managed to use anything else.
Herman Miller Aeron Remastered
If I’m going to slouch in the worst ergonomic position imaginable all day, I might as well do it in a classic.
Development tools
VS Code
It is the best. No discussion, I don't want to hear it.
Xcode
It's not like Apple gives us the right to choose.
Github
Great platform that hosts my life's work.
Design
Figma
We started using Figma as just a design tool but now it’s become our virtual whiteboard for the entire company. Never would have expected the collaboration features to be the real hook.
Productivity
Arc Browser
A breath of fresh air in the cluttered browser world! Smooth, sleek, and intuitive, it glides through the web like a pro. It's the antidote to browser boredom—effortlessly anticipating your needs and delivering a seamless experience. Say hello to browsing bliss!
Notion
Notion is like a personal assistant that makes you look good, even if you're actually a hot mess.
Google Calendar
I would be lost without this baddie.
Spotify
Blasting JayZ, BurnaBoy and Anavitoria on full volume keeps me focused and pumped! wooh!
